About Us
Michael Hallek is a physician and professor of haematology and oncology. His research focuses on improved treatment methods for leukaemia. He approaches his work as a physician and researcher with the same great passion as his commitment to the wine estate.
During a year of study in Paris, he formed close friendships in France. This led to the discovery of Château Le Pin Beausoleil in 2003 – a place that Ingrid and Michael Hallek immediately fell in love with. They instantly recognised the potential of this terroir to produce great wines.
Even before the purchase, they secured the continued involvement of Stéphane Derenoncourt as a consultant. Just as in his main profession, where he has made groundbreaking progress in leukaemia research together with a dynamic team, Michael Hallek is not content with what has been achieved in winemaking either. With the same pursuit of perfection, he aims to create an exceptional wine together with the team at Château Le Pin Beausoleil.
Château Le Pin Beausoleil is a true family business. The name of the company, “MIVIDA”, combines the first names of the family: Michael, Ingrid, Vivian, and David. In Spanish, mi vida means “my life” – there is no better expression for the family's passion for this joint project.

Owners
Michael Hallek, professor of medicine, internist, hematologist and oncologist, is known for his research into combating leukaemia. He approaches his dedication to medicine with the same passion as his investment in the world of wine. During part of his studies in Paris, he built close friendships in France. From these contacts came the discovery in 2003 of Château Le Pin Beausoleil, a place Ingrid and Michael Hallek immediately fell in love with. Recognizing the exceptional potential of this terroir, they secured Stéphane Derenoncourt's continued involvement as an advisor even before the purchase. Just as he has built a dynamic team in his medical career that has made great strides in leukaemia research, Michael Hallek is also not content with the status quo in winemaking. With the help of a small but highly motivated team, he strives to create a wine of exceptional quality.
Igor Leclere
Technical Director
In a previous life, Igor Leclere was a baker, then a plumber and heating engineer. He lived in Laon when, after the death of his father-in-law, his mother-in-law asked him to help her manage the 12-hectare family estate. For this, he trained as a winemaker and worked at the family business until December 2008. He then continued his career in the wine world as technical director at a winery in Saint-Émilion. In February 2013, he moved to Château Le Pin Beausoleil, where his meticulous work and his love for natural, organic winemaking methods have since significantly contributed to the positive development of the château.
Alaska
Guardian of the vineyard
The youngest family member is Alaska, a Swiss Shepherd, who makes sure everyone always stays together and that nobody approaches unnoticed.
